How to prepare Specrite Acacia Brown panel for use as a kitchen bench?
Hi ... what wax or oil would be most appropriate for preparing a Specrite panel for use as a kitchen bench? My preference is for a matt natural look, but to be honest I'd MOST like the easiest, least time consuming option.

Re: Preparing Specrite Acacia Brown panel for use as a kitchen bench
Hello @AuntieMaz
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your Specrite panel.
I suggest using either Feast Watson 250ml Kitchen Timber Oil or Kaboodle 750ml Clear Hardwax Oil. Both coatings are oil based and can be applied with a brush. My best advice is to sand the surface of your Specrite panel as smooth as possible in order to get a superior finish. I also recommend testing a small section of your bench so that you can see what the finish will look like. If you are satisfied with the finish, then you can commit the whole panel.
If you have any other questions we can help with, please let us know.
Eric
