How to make pull out bin cabinet?

Hi everyone, I'm new to this community and hoping to find a solution to my problem. I recently purchased a base-mount pullout bin, and I want to attach it to the cabinet door so that the bin slides open when I open the door.

I would purchase runners for the bin but there is a small gap between the bin and the side of the cabinet.

The bin that I got is Kaboodle 2 x 20L Kitchen Soft Close Waste Bin,  I/N: 266988.

Any help is much appreciated.

Re: How to make pull out bin cabinet?

Hello @mor4sis

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your pull-out bin.

The pullout bin you currently have which is the Kaboodle 2 x 20L Kitchen Soft Close Waste Bin is designed to fit into a 400mm base cabinet. It is a base mounted unit and can only be operated as a pullout bin with a swing out-door in front, the cabinet door can't be attached to the structure of the bin. However, I suspect that you have a bigger cabinet, would it be by chance 450mm in width? If it is, I suggest returning your bin in its original packaging and getting a Kaboodle 2 x 31L Grey Side Mount Pullout Bins

The Kaboodle 2 x 31L Grey Side Mount Pullout Bins is designed to be mounted on the cabinet sides and the front door anchored to the front frame of the bin. The Kaboodle 2 x 20L Kitchen Soft Close Waste Bin can't be modified or anchored to the sides of the cabinet. The only other option is for you to build your own pullout bin using timber. I suggest having a look at this discussion - How to create a pull-out bin out of my kitchen cabinet? by @ujjwalbatra.

If you have any other questions we can help with, please let us know.
