How to install a splashback over tiles?
Hi,
I have a tiled splashback that I would like to replace by either removing existing tiles or glueing a splashback over the top. There is a wooden strip along the bottom of the tiles, would it be possible to remove this strip?
Thanks
Dee8

Re: splashback over tiles
Hello @Dee8
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about installing a splashback.
I recommend removing the tiles so that you'll have a uniform surface to work on. In regards to the timber strip, I suspect that it is covering a gap. It could be the tiles, or it could be the benchtop, the only way to find out is to remove the timber strip. Once you have everything removed, you'll have a better idea of what you'll need to do to fix your wall and prepare it for your new splashback.
Can you please tell us what kind of splashback will you be installing?
If you need further assistance, please let us know.
Eric
