How to fix loose kitchen tap swivel?

Hi there,

Bought a Decaura WELS Kitchen Taps (amazon link for reference) a couples months ago. I had noticed the swivel was a little loose and couldn't attach/screw it all the way down but was still staying still. In the last few days, it has completely come loose and sometimes fall off.

I had reached out to Decaura when I first noticed that you couldn't screw it all the way down but didn't get a reply. Now that it has come fully loose, does anyone know where I could get a swivel? Tried searching but couldn't find anywhere. Any other recommendation to repair more than welcome too 😁

Re: How to fix loose kitchen tap swivel?

Hi @qpeak,

It appears that the male threads on the handle may be stripped, and the female threads on the tap hood could also be compromised.

You could attempt to Special Order a pin handle that matches one of our mixers, and our helpful team in store can assist with that. However, there's a chance the thread sizes on your current tap may not align with those on the replacement handles. If you’re unable to match the threads or if the damage is extensive, replacing the tap might be the best course of action.

I'd recommend exploring the wide range of gooseneck kitchen taps available on the Bunnings website. All of these taps come with a warranty, and replacement parts can be sourced directly from the manufacturers, offering a reliable, long-term solution. We also have a tap installation offer that you might like to take advantage of.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Mitchell
