Made the mistake of scrubbing glossy kitchen cupboards, this has removed the shine and caused some scratches. How can this be fixed?
thanks
Hello @petiib
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your damaged cupboards.
I propose washing the surface with soap and water to remove all the oil and grease deposits on it. I recommend using paper towels to dry the surface so that it will be totally clean and dry. I suggest using a microfibre cloth and testing Long Life 1L Self Shining Floor Polish on the scratched surface. Make sure to polish in a up and down direction and not a circular pattern. It might take a while, but the scratches should slowly recede. Please note that it will not completely remove the scratches on the surface of the door.
I'm afraid the only other method I'm aware of to repair your door finish is to paint it. If your door is finished in a two-pack paint finish, it will need to be professionally repainted. If it is a laminated door, it might be possible to colour match it with Dulux Renovation Range.
