I had a mixer tap installed in a kitchen bench. After installation I fond the water flow was reduced . On examining the tap packaging, I had installed a low flow tap. Can I just buy a new cartridge and install it to fix the problem? OR does the low pressure come from the tap itself? It is easier for me to change the cartridge rather than change the whole tap as changing the cartridge can be done from the bench top.
I discovered that the aerator on the end of the tap is what controls the pressure in this case. I swapped the 5LPM for an unrestricted flow adapter (male) at Bunnings & fixed the problem.
