Hello! Can I please ask what are some possible options for extending the kitchen white melamine shelves to the ceiling. The house has a 2.5m ceiling height. The shelves are above the stove and an approximate of 345mm of space above the shelves to the ceiling. Currently the cabinets has a height of 550mm and 600mm (w), 900mm (w), 650mm (w). The depth of all three cabinets are approximately 450mm. Would appreciate any advice, thank you!
Hello @ching9l
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your kitchen cabinetry.
If you really need the storage space, then your only option is to get your cabinet installer to build you custom wall cabinets. Usually, I suggest building a bulkhead to cover the gap at the top to prevent dust from settling on top of the wall cabinets. If you do proceed with the cabinetry, my best advice is to make sure that the step ladder you get is tall enough to reach top cabinets. For example, the CITECO 1.2m 150kg Industrial Supalite Large Platform Aluminium Ladder is perfect for domestic applications and is tall enough for you to reach the upper wall cabinetry.

Good Evening @ching9l
I would go for a bulkhead to cover the gap. Having storage at that height pretty much means once it goes in, its staying until you change the kitchen
I cant really think of a useful space or used items that you would store in that space. The Bulkhead that @EricL mentions would be easy enough to build. You could even match the type of material that your cabinets are made out of if you talk to the specail orders desk.

Thanks Eric and Dave! Does bunnings assist with bulkhead installations, roughly how much would that cost?
Hello @ching9l
If you are having the store install your kitchen it's best to discuss it with your kitchen installer. They will be able to answer your question regarding the bulkhead installation. I also suggest speaking to in store kitchen specialist if you wish to get more details about getting a kitchen quote.
If you need further assistance, please let me know.
