Hello, how to change (remove) kitchen glass look splashback, its red, so want to change colour. Would love options please?
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @CMC. It's brilliant to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about removing a kitchen splashback.
I completely understand your situation; my mother has a very similar issue with a bright red glass splashback in her kitchen, which is eye-catching but a bit overwhelming for her home. You have a few options for changing or covering your splashback.
One option is to tile directly over the existing glass using Dunlop 2kg Tile-All Tile Adhesive, which is specifically designed to bond with glass surfaces. This method is quite straightforward and allows you to update the look of your splashback without removing the old one. Here's a helpful guide to follow using the Tile-All: How to tile a splashback.
Alternatively, if you prefer a fresh start, you could have the glass splashback professionally removed. However, keep in mind that there's a high chance the glass might break during removal, so this option could be a bit messy and might require some wall repairs afterwards.
Lastly, another option to consider is installing a new coloured glass splashback over the existing one. This would give you a new look while saving the effort and potential hassle of removing the old splashback. Each option has its own benefits, so it depends on which one best suits your needs and budget.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
