Hi everyone, I’m new to this and haven’t built anything before, but I’m really excited to learn! I’m considering building a pantry for my kitchen. Do you think it’s something I can easily do myself? If not, what would you suggest I do instead? Also, if it is possible, what tools and materials should I get to get started? Any tips or advice would be really appreciated! And if anyone is willing to teach me or point me in the right direction, that would be amazing!
Hello @Harryjat
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us and thanks for sharing your question about building a kitchen pantry.
Despite the pantry being a large cabinet, it is an ideal beginner's project. All you'll need is an Ozito PXC 18V Cordless Drill Driver Kit PXDDK-250C to drill the cabinet together. In essence the pantry is a giant box composed of 4 side panels a backing panel and a door. Once you've built a pantry, you'll realize that building a flat pack cabinet is not that complex. If you can tell us which pantry you've decided to put together, we can give you more information about it and offer tips about its assembly.
If you need further assistance, please let us know.

Hi @Harryjat,
I thought I'd just point out, that by the time you purchase the panels, fixings, glue and possible additional tools you'll likely surpass the cost of a pre-made Kaboodle pantry. Unless you were particularly skilled at caperntry it would be difficult to equal the level of finish on these units.
I'd encourage you to consider them as an alternative to building one yourself from scratch.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
