Hello, I want to install two wall cabinets to a brick wall. I have purchased Ramset zink plated 8 mm x 75 mm hammer in anchors that holds up to 10 kg. Have i chosen the correct anchors and if so what size drill would i need. Thanks again.
Hello @Lynn10
Are you referring to the Ramset 8 x 75mm Zinc AnkaScrew Masonry Anchor. These anchors need to be screwed into the wall and not hammered in. I suggest using either Ramset 8 x 50mm Blue Wall Plugs Blue - 25 Pack or Ramset 8 x 60mm Countersunk DynaBolt Plus Masonry Anchor. Using six fixings is ideal and should be enough to hold the cabinet and its contents in place. In regards to the type of screw, I suggest using Zenith 10G x 65mm Gold Passivated Countersunk Rib Head Chipboard Screws.
Please remember to wear personal protection such as gloves and goggles when working on your project.
Here is a handy step-by-step guide: How to install masonry fixings.

Hello Eric can you advise what size masonry drill to use for this project. Thanks again
Hi @Lynn10,
@EricL has mentioned three different types of fixings that could be used. The Ramset 8 x 75mm Zinc AnkaScrew Masonry Anchor and the Ramset 8 x 50mm Blue Wall Plugs Blue - 25 Pack require an 8mm drill bit and the Ramset 8 x 60mm Countersunk DynaBolt Plus Masonry Anchor requires a 10mm drill bit.
Typically, I would recommend using the Ramset 8 x 60mm Countersunk DynaBolt Plus Masonry Anchor, which requires a 10mm drill bit.
This drill bit can be used in any hammer drill that has a hammer function.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Mitchell
