I’m hoping to get a small dishwasher placed into my kitchen but I’m not sure what size, where I could place it or what I would need to ask a plumber to do. Would this even be possible? Experts please help me out!
Hello @sharlinkk
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about installing a dishwasher in your existing kitchen.
Looking at your kitchen layout, I propose measuring the cabinet that is on the left-hand side of your sink. This would be a promising spot for a dish washer. I suggest having a look at the Bellini 45cm White 9 Place Setting 6 Programs Dishwasher WELS 4 Star 9.4L Per Wash. The dishwasher size is 448mm (w) x 845mm (h) x600mm (d), if the cabinet size on the left-hand side of the sink is bigger (even just by a few millimetres) than the size of the dishwasher then it will be possible to install one in.
If you wish to double check the possibility of a fit, I recommend engaging the services of a handy person who has experience with kitchen cabinet assembly. If the sizes are ideal and it looks like the dishwasher will fit, the trades person will cut and remove the cabinet and prepare it for installation. You'll need an electrician to put a power point under your sink and a plumber to put a laundry tap in and hook up the dishwasher.
This would be the general steps you would need to make, but your first order of business is to measure the cabinetry and see if you have enough space.
