Appropriate fixings for wall hung cabinet?
Hi All,
I am fixing wall hung ikea metod cabinets to the wall via the rail system they provide. The wall is gyprock and brick.
The total weight of the cabinets themselves is around 55kg.
What would be the appropriate fixings to use?
Cheers,
Jeremiah

Re: Appropriate fixings for wall hung ikea cabinet
Hi @Jerreemon,
As this isn't a unit we sell, it would be best to reach out to the supplier directly for advice on the correct mounting hardware. However, typically when mounting heavy cabinets like this into brickwork, you'd use Dynabolts or similar masonry fixings. Ensure the fixings are long enough to pass through the cabinet, plasterboard and into the brick behind. As a guide, a Dynabolt of 100mm should be sufficient.
Please let me know if you have further questions.
