Advice on kitchen layout

The time has come for the big kitchen renovation - but I'm not sure our current plan is utilising the space efficiently. This is our kitchen & dining area and we like to sit around the table, so we need space for 2 adults & 2 kids to sit. We want to keep the costs down so we're looking to keep the dishwasher, sink, & oven in the same locations. See photo for our planned layout & room dimensions, with island extended out to form a table with bar seats. I'm thinking that the island would be cupboards (as shown), plus 400mm drawers (couldn't add them in kaboodle). The door on the left goes outside, the doorway at the bottom of the plan goes to the lounge. Any suggestions for how this space could be better utilised? IMG_6644.jpgIMG_6643.jpg2FE3381A-3548-4338-8FF4-7ABC48B3E86E_1_201_a.jpeg

Re: Advice on kitchen layout

Hi @ashleighby

I'm glad my suggestions helped. I suggest visiting your local store and speaking to the In-Store Kitchen Specialist. Show them which kitchen sketch you've decided to go with and they will be able to quote it. There are two special parts to your kitchen that your installer will have to make from scratch. The microwave cabinet and the open shelf cabinet. These two parts are non-standard, make sure to tell the Kitchen Specialist so that they are not confused. I highly recommend a quick game of rock, paper, scissors to see which kitchen island will be built.
