Over the past two weeks we've been ripping out the existing raised garden planter boxes and all plants/trees as the timber used for planter boxes were not treated and the trees planted should never have been planted right up against the house and under power lines!
We laid a series of stepping stones leading to the front steps, planted some hardier/low maintence plants (yuccas, red cordylines, mondo grasses) and surrounded the path with white stones.
Great work! Complete facelift and without knowing how much you spent, I dare say it wasn't much especially given the huge difference it makes. How's it gone over the past 17months?
Just tagging member @Andadams so she sees your posts gentlemen. I'm sure she will appreciate your comments.

Thanks @james64 and @ProjectPete, the front has been going very well. Very happy with the results to date for an inexpensive makeover. We'd love to eventually cover the front porch with decking, currenlty only painted concrete. But priority is to build the one out the back first!
Great to see this update @Andadams. Many thanks for sharing some new photos.
Looking forward to reading about your plans for the backyard. Hopefully the Workshop community can provide some inspiration and advice.

Love the new trees, the contrast between them work really great.
