Does your plumbing include flexible braided hoses?

Keen to hear more stories from plumbers about flexible braided hoses. It seems many are failing after 10 years. The potential damage a burst hose can cause is alarming.

That's a worry. I am going to check. I think I do have this type of pipe underneath the kitchen sink mixer.

Yep, I've got them in the kitchen, laundry and bathroom.  

The article mentions an expiry date printed on the collar of the hose but I can't see anything. I think they would all be over 10 years old.

Thanks for this post! I have one of these hoses going to cistern, about 7 years old, will be checking it regularly, can see it easily!
