I have a fairly young jacaranda tree that's about 2 metres tall. I want to move it before some fencing work is done as I fear it will get damaged and I have a better spot for it. Will it tolerate moving? I would hate to lose it. Thank you. Bev
You would be best to do it in winter when the tree was doormant to minimise shock. But it would be a big job as you would need to dig out a huge, heavy rootball. There's instructions here but I think if you love the tree you'd be better to leave it alone or use a professional.
BTW, dont prune it or it could lose its beautiful umbrella shape forever.
