Hi everyone!
I have a Homelite HLT25CS whipper snipper that I bought second hand - I’m determined to learn regular maintenance on it.
i’m having Trouble replacing the cord though - I cannot pull the bump head apart and it’s not the same as the manual’s model. Does anyone have any tips for me? I cannot unscrew the red knob on the end...

Hi and welcome,
Homelite is pretty much cheaper version of Ryobi
the red knob, you remove by turning it clockwise I believe, my bump knob was worn down, so I used a wrench to get better grip.
you can also buy the knobs for about $10 at bunnings.
Look at page 17, explains how to remove the red bump knob.
your very welcome
I also can provide a link that might help you get newew head which is much better to use, if you wanted to change entire head.
Best bump knob I have seen at bunnings:

Thank you so much!
i know it’s just a cheap second hand thing that most throw away but it’s turning out to be a wonderful learning ground.
I really appreciate the support!
