Hi looking for some advice
we have a pine timber fence and want to keep the same look. What is the best way to achieve this?
we tried Cabot’s aqua deck natural but it gives off a darker colour.
we have been told intergrain universal might work.
when looking online it says clear coats may not protect against UV and may gray over time.
is there any way to keep the same look?
Hi @dimisimi,
It would be difficult to offer advice without seeing the fence. Can you upload some images of the fence so I can better assist?
Let me know if you need to upload images manually. I'm happy to help if required.
Once you've uploaded some images, I'll happily take a look and offer advice.
Jacob
thanks @JacobZ

Hi @dimisimi,
Unfortunately, you are always going to see a slight darkening in timber when oil is applied. What you are seeing with your fence is on the low end of colour change from oiling timber.
I suppose you could try a different product such as Intergrain 10L Clear Universal Timber Oil, but you are still going to see some change in colour.
As the timber palings are treated pine, you can always leave them bare to retain this colour, but it will fade over time.
Let me know what you think.
