how to cover the base of a hollowed log
Hi there,
I was giving a piece of hollowed log and I want to cover the base of the log so I can grow plants on it. So please kindly advise the easiest ways to do so without heaving machines /tools involved... Tks a lot. Donna

Re: how to cover the base of a hollowed log
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @donnakebab. Many thanks for your question, I'd be happy to assist.
It's great to have you join us and we look forward to seeing your completed project. I trust our helpful community members will have many ideas for you. The simplest solution I can think of, without tools, would be a couple of squirts of expanding foam in the base. You can then cut a hole through the foam to allow drainage.
What type of plants were you planning on growing in the log? I'm currently hollowing out a log to grow rock orchids in.
Mitchell
