What plants are good for this area

Hi everyone,

I just wonder what kind of plants are good to grow in this deep planter box. Most of the time, it's shady, except a bit of afternoon sunshine during the summer.

Depends where you live State wise.  I am in Brisbane and even though my garden bed in in dappled shade it is still exposed to the outside heat which is perfect at the moment for Turmeric and other herbs.

As @Qldgarden has mentioned, the state you are in, and more specifically the climate, will often determine the best choice of plants for your space.

Are you looking for colour and aesthetics? Or edible plants? Maybe a combination of the two?
