Hi all,
was after everyone’s thoughts on what the best respirator mask would be for spraying weeds with glyphosate, spraying plants with pesticide and/or copper leaf curl and applying fertiliser to the lawn? If I’m correct you require a P2 rated mask for these applications?
I’ve used disposable masks previously but they still seem to let a lot of smell in given they don’t seal well. Is it preferred to go a step up to something like the Trojan or 3M Respirator with filter pads or is this possibly overkill.
I would be very keen and interested to know what everyone is using or recommending for the above uses. I tried in store late one evening but there was limited knowledge available from the reduced number of staff naturally working at that time of day and struggling to find some reasonable info online
thanks
Alex
Trojan mask link for reference (although appears no one currently has stock)
Hi @acicco
That is indeed an ideal mask to use when spaying chemicals. Can you please tell me which is the closest store to your home. I'll see if I can track down the product for you.
Eric
Thanks @EricL . Marion, South Australia is closest. Appears most stored within the state are out of stock looking online
Hello @acicco
Thank you so much for your patience. You are correct there is very low supply of the Trojan A1+P2 Half Mask Respirator. At this point in time there is no definite date when the mask will come back into stock. I therefore suggest looking at the 3M Large Paint Project Reusable Half Facepiece Respirator in combination with 3M Replacement Respirator Kit which is P2 rated.
If you need further assistance, please let us know.
