Hi, I have a Ryobi Mower R18XLMW40 self-propelled mower which I purchased 6.5mths ago. The LHS drive wheel is not disengaging when not in self-propelled mode. I have checked & cleaned the area as best I can, but the problem still exists. The RHS wheel spins freely, but the LHS wheel is obviously remaining engaged.
Yes I expect it should be under warranty but just want to check that I haven't missed something obvious. Any ideas would be appreciated.
Regards, Alan
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @Alan50. It's wonderful to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about Ryobi lawnmowers.
It sounds like you’ve already done a thorough job troubleshooting the issue. Apart from ensuring the mower is fully disengaged from self-propel mode, there’s not much else that could be causing this problem. It would be best to take the mower to your nearest store with your proof of purchase, where one of our power gardening experts can assess it under warranty.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
