Re: Is treated pine garden edging safe for growing vegetables?

Hi @Trevick

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us and thanks for sharing your question about your garden edging.

Unless stated on the packaging odds are the preservative used on the garden edging is arsenic based. It is therefore not safe to be used in growing vegetables. Instead, I suggest using 200 x 50mm Sleeper H4 Sienna MicroPro 2.4m, it uses a copper-based preservative which is safe for use in garden beds and playgrounds. Another option is to use a plastic or metal-based garden edging.

If you need further assistance, please let us know.

Eric
