Hi, please help preserve my sanity here! I purchased the 30m Garden Basics hose this weekend and have been attempting to install it into brick. The instructions say to drill 4 x 8mm holes, which I have done but the supplies plugs seems to be far bigger than 8mm (see pic).
I’ve drilled one at 10mm which seems a little better but at this point I’ve broken two masonry drill bits in these extremely hard bricks and want to be 100% sure before I persist.
What do I need to do here? Why are the instructions seemingly at odds with the supplied plugs? And going by the diagram I need washers as well however these were not included in the box - do I need to make a second trip to purchase these separately?
Hi @meeganw I usually gently hammer in the wall plug, you want it to be a tight fit because don't forget the screw that goes in expands the wall plug which secures it.

Hi @meeganw,
A warm welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is fantastic to have you with us.
As @Marty_greenshed has already mentioned, the hole the wall plug will sit in must be tight, so it may look like it won't fit, but with a few gentle taps from a hammer, you shouldn't have any trouble.
Be gentle but firm with your hammer. I can say in the past I have bent a few of this style of plugs, which can be a pain. If you bend one, you can always use these Ramset 8 x 35mm Blue Wall Plugs as an alternative.
Let me know how you go.
