How to stop Ozito 36v brushless mower cutting out?
G'day team,
Reaching out for a little help, I've got a 2yo Ozito mower (model PXBTMK-2438) that's been working like a dream until pretty recently. For the past few months, while moving the lawn, the mower has been cutting out requiring me to stop and lift the blade off the grass to stop it from completely dying on me.
I know the immediate thought is the grass is too long/dense for the mower and causing it seize up, but the height of the grass is the same it's always been as past times I've mowed without problems. In addition to this, I make sure to mow every 2 weeks (maybe once a month in the winter months) to make sure the grass stays low.
Prior to reaching out, I've been looking through the online manual to see if there's any tips I could try to stop the problem (sharpening the blade, checking the battery and starter key is housed properly, making sure the catcher isn't overloaded) but I haven't been able to find that silver bullet to stop whatever's started causing this issue.
Would love your advice, am I missing something?
Thanks in advance,
Shane.

Re: Ozito 36v Brushless Mower Cutting Out
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @ShaneoBobano. It's wonderful to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about Ozito mowers.
It sounds like the mower is struggling to get through dense areas, which it could before. This indicates that there might be something wrong with the batteries or motor and the machine not delivering as much power as it once had. Since the machine would still be under warranty, I would recommend you take the mower into your local store with your proof of purchase so our team can assess it for a warranty exchange.
The only thing I can think of that is worth checking is that no rope or twine has been caught and wrapped around the drive shaft. Occasionally, I've seen this occur, and as the mower is already struggling to operate, it stalls out when it hits dense grass.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Mitchell

Re: Ozito 36v Brushless Mower Cutting Out
Thanks Mitchell,
I had a feeling it might need a check in-store, no drama I'll double check for any obstructions and bring it in to have the team have a look.
Thanks again,
Shane.
