Planting Miles Choice Bay Laurels - do i need to stake them?
Afternoon @davidh95
Welcome to the Bunnings Community pages
I would say yes it would be wise at least until the Laurels have matured into their new homes I have not staked some things and then rushed around at the first hint of strong wind
How tall are your Laurels ? And how old are they?
Dave
here we go.
Just added them to @Dave-1
Thank you Jacob - are you please able to send links to relvant stakes and ties and any tutorials?
Hi @davidh95,
I'd suggest using Lattice Makers 25 x 25 x 1800mm Hardwood Garden Stakes and driving them in next to the plants with a club hammer. Alternatively, you can use a Jack Fencing Accessory Lil Driver Post And Stake.
Once the stakes are secured in the ground you can use Jute webbing to tie the plants to the stakes. Ensure you do not overly tighten it and allow a small amount of movement for growth.
Here's a helpful step-by-step guide: How to stake your plants.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Mitchell
Morning @davidh95
I definently would go the route that @MitchellMc has sugegsted, its thye softest way to secure the plants I know.
That fenceline will look great in a few years!
