How to kill golden cane palm trees?
Recently removed bunch of golden cane. ( 3 big clumps). I sprayed roundup immediately but there was a heavy rain within minutes.
So, to make sure these clumps are dead, next day, I drilled holes and poured generous amount Garden basics weed killer concentrate.( Economical version of roundup I was told).
But, liquid is not being absorbed and it just pooled in holes, even after 24hrs. I tried same method of drilling holes in another 2 big tree trunks. There it was absorbed.
Are golden palms resistant to glyphosate?

Re: How to kill golden cane palm trees?
Hi @Janar_Dhan,
Last week experienced community member @mich1972 shared the step-by-step guide How to stop a tree stump regrowing?
Have a read and let us know if you have any follow-up questions.
Are you able to cut the trees closer to the ground and paint the solution on the cut immediately? Michelle advises to "be sure to apply the solution within 30 seconds of making the cut to maximise its effectiveness." She also notes "some tree species may require multiple treatments to fully die off".
