Its a season of green leaves , i am growing green leaves veggies but getting holes on leaves , as i see some caterpillars eating them , i sprayed white oil but still getting holes , Any recommendations to get rid of them and have disease free leaves
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @suni. It's wonderful to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about getting rid of caterpillars.
I recommend you use Dipel, which is an insecticide made with a beneficial bacteria that specifically targets caterpillars. It is safe for bees, ladybeetles and other beneficial insects. Ensure you coat the entire plant, including the top and bottom of the leaves. You might need to spray every 5-7 days in order to kill any caterpillars that have hatched after the initial spray.
Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks @MitchellMc for your response, i saw ladybugs and even just germinated green leaves gets holes and white print (leaf miners ) . Do this Dipel work in all cases ? or i put some neem oil?
Looking forward to see your recommendations
Hello @suni
If you have both caterpillars and leaf miners, I suggest using Seasol 1L EarthCare White Oil Insect Spray. It is a paraffin oil that controls various citrus leaf miners, scales, aphids, whitefly, mealy bugs, spider mites and smooth skin caterpillars on roses, flowers, ornamentals, grapes, fruit and citrus trees. If you are worried about the lady bugs, then Dipel is the one to use. You'll just need to manually remove the affected leaves that are being eaten by the leaf miners.
If you need further assistance, please let us know.

@MitchellMc My mustard leaves are getting worse Hope Neem oil/Eco oil will work alone ,All my green leaves like kale kohlrabi, turnips have holes except spinach , soil is enrich with organic compost, dynamic filler , organic soil improver.
Hi @suni,
Horticultural oils are not typically the best option for caterpillars, as you must spray the caterpillar directly, which can be difficult when they hide during the day. My advice, especially if it's getting worse, is to use Dipel, as suggested. You can certainly use the oil as well to combat leaf miner if needed.
