How to fix Ryobi lawn mower wobbly wheel?

I purchased a Ryobi 36V lawn mower last year from Bunnings - however over time, the rear wheel has become increasingly unstable and wobbly, and I am worried that the wheel itself will break.   I've had a look, and I seem to be unable to tighten the nut - can anyone give me any advice on what to do please?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

you can see from the two images below how far the wheel 'wobbles'

Re: How to fix Ryobi lawn mower wobbly wheel?

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @KirkyG. It's terrific to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about Ryobi lawnmowers.

Are you unable to access the nut, or have you tried tightening it to no effect? If you've tightened the nut, then it sounds like the internals of the wheel might be damaged, requiring replacement. Are you able to remove the wheel to check for damage on the inside?

If the unit is still under warranty, I would suggest taking it to your nearest Bunnings store with your proof of purchase for our team to assess. If it's out of warranty, we can look at ordering you a new wheel to replace it.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
