How to clad concrete retaining wall?

We have an ugly concrete retaining wall. We were hoping to cover it with something like the Ekodeck batten screens. Are these suitable? Do we need to put support posts in first, I assume we can’t attach them directly to the wall? Thanks

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @neridarob. It's fantastic to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about installing screening.

Here's the installation guide for the Ekodeck batten screen. It requires posts spaced at 600mm. Given this, you would need to install posts across the span. 

The screen would certainly be suitable for your project, but I would not advise installing them on the wall, as the number of fixings required would quite possibly compromise its structural integrity.

In order to keep the screening as close to the wall as possible, you might like to go with steel posts, rather than larger timber posts.
