This started from a small patch of yellow grass and now it is spread to a large area. It is watered everyday and fertilised and
applied weed n feed.

Could you perhaps take some closeups of the grass, as that might better illustrate the issue?

It's far better to water long and deep a few times a week than every day for shorter periods. Watering every day can lead to fungal infections, so if the grass has become soft, slimy, and is decomposing, this could be the cause. Also, it's best to water in the morning so the grass has time to dry out before the night.
I'm keen to hear more about the type of grass you have and the specific Weed'n'Feed product you've used. If you can please link me to it, I can investigate whether this could have caused the dieback.
