Growing pineapples... Can I do it?

You ever wandered through the nursery & seen pineapple plants for sale & thought "cute but naaaahhh... can't grow them..."

Well... you might be surprised. Here's a little video I just finished on growing these awesome plants.

Many thanks for sharing such an interesting article on the mysteries of the pineapple. I had no idea you could grow a plant from the crown, in fact, I think I'll be going through the rubbish to grab the one we cut off last night and threw away. 

It looks like I now have something new to try growing in my garden and I'm sure my daughter will enjoy seeing where pineapples come from.

Hey @MitchellMc , no worries!
One fun way to do with the kids is to use the same technique often used for avocado seeds - use toothpicks to suspend the crown over water, just touching, and let the roots develop that way.
