Fence pot plant holder using recycled fence posts

Recycled farm fence post plant holder - secure three posts together with cable ties or wire. Thread rope through the holes at each end and tie off, making sure both loops are the same lengths.  Use garden hooks to hook over fence and hang plant holder. Position your favourite pot plants along length of posts.  

Materials

Old fence posts 

wire / cable tie 

rope 

Tools

Wire cutters to trim wire / cable ties. 

Steps

Step 1

Line up three old fence posts with holes matching 

secure the outside two together by threading cable tie through holes 

thread rope through the end holes and make a loop and tie off 

position garden hooks over fence and hang garden shelf on hooks moving hooks so shelf hangs evenly. 
position plants along shelf.

I love an upcycling project and the already drilled farm fence posts make for a simple yet effective way to create a hanging shelf to place your plants on.

 

Do you know what the plants are? They look like Purple Aeoniums. Is that correct? They are fantastic plants that look brilliant in those quirky little pots.
