Hi Community Members - I'm planning to convert part of my garage into a functional storage space using cabinets while also incorporating a small study nook. I'll still be parking one car in the garage at night, so I need to make the most of the available space.
I'm looking for recommendations on:
Garage size is 5.5m*6m
If you’ve done a similar setup, I’d love to see photos or hear about your experiences! Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
Hi @RK07,
This is quite a broad question, and there are plenty of practical storage solutions available on the Bunnings website, so I’d recommend having a look through to see what best suits your needs. For general advice, pegboards on the wall can help keep tools organised and within easy reach, while shelved storage units are great for larger items. If your garage has the height for it, consider using hanging storage for less frequently used items like seasonal decorations or camping gear. Cupboards with doors would also be a great option to keep things looking tidy, especially since you’ll be using the space for entertaining.
A good approach would be to start by sketching out the space, beginning with the study nook. Once you have that area planned, you can arrange cabinets and storage solutions around it in the most effective way. This will help ensure that everything fits well and that you’re making the best use of the available space. Let us know if you have specific requirements, and we’d be happy to provide more tailored suggestions.
