Hi all
I have a single car garage with concrete floor, weatherboard exterior, timber frames, and roller doors at each end. It lets in an inordinate amount of dirt, dust and insects. There are no internal walls.
The weatherboard cladding extends down beyond the height of the slab. What would be the best way of sealing this to help keep dust, dirt, and critters out?
Could expanding foam do the job? Or are there better solutions?
Once this has been resolved I'd like to insulate and install an interior wall, and seal the concrete floor also.
Thank you for your assistance!
David
Hello @heydavid_
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about insulating your garage.
In order to give our members a better idea of what your garage looks like inside and outside, would it be possible for you to post a few photos of the garage? We can then make recommendations on how to seal the weatherboard and insulate the walls.
In the meantime, here is a link to our best advice: How do you add insulation to a garage or shed?
If you need a hand posting the photos, please let me know.
