can I add insulation to a shed that has walls already framed? I was planning on using foilboard.
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @dirtman. It's terrific to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about installing Foilboard.
Ideally, the foil board would have been installed prior to the framing between the shed's metal framework. However, you could cut it down and install it with the timber cavity. However, I think the hot air will likely rise up behind the timber cavity and fill the roof space above. At this stage, you're likely better off going with Earthwool insulation within the timber studs.
You could use 75mm Earthwool insulation, push it behind the studs between the shed's frame, and then insert 90mm within the timber studs. That would give you some quite robust insulation and help prevent heat transfer up behind the timber frame.
For the rest of the gabled roof, you can certainly use the Foilboard.
A note for our New Zealand members: The use of foilboard insulation is prohibited.
Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks for your reply. Yeah I probably did things the wrong way around. Hopefully there won’t be too many problems.
