Hi,
Wondering if I'm understanding the Rackit system correctly. Looking at the 400kg system as 1000 is probably overkill for me. I have a span of about 2m to cover so could address it with 2 x 949 beams, but could also do it with a single 1900 beam. Given the first option will use 3 upgrights (so effectively 2 units side by side) does that mean that the total span can hold 800kg per "shelf"?
a single span of 1900 will work out a little cheaper but I don't want to shoot myself in the foot here...
Thanks
Beeker
Hi @beeker,
In the 400kg system, each shelf can hold up to 400kg even distributed across it. If you have three uprights, that would be two shelves, and each can hold 400kg. So, 800kg across your span. One 1900 beam can only carry 400kg, so weight-wise, you'd be better off with three uprights and two shelves.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
