How can I enclose this gap between original shed and addition?

Hi

Old owners had this original shed and then put an addition up which isn't well made. We don't know what our end plan is but we want to enclose the opening between the two sheds. What is the most cost efficient way of doing this? I have added photos of the opening. It's about 3.8m wide. So we want to enclose it with just a personnel door.

Hi @Char1991,

It looks like the easiest and most cost-effective option would be to build a stud wall across the span. Here's a helpful step-by-step guide: How to build a stud wall. You can then sheet it with steel cladding. You'll also find these guides useful: How to install a door jamb and How to hang a door.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Afternoon @Char1991

Id follow @MitchellMc and go with a stud wall across width and only line it one side, that way its easier to remove when you sort out exactly what you want.

Thanks guys! I did think that's probably the best way.

How do I secure the stud wall frame to the concrete pad?

Hi @Char1991

You can use AnkaScrews, Dynabolts or Ramset Chemset fixing set. It all depends on what you are comfortable or familiar with.

If you need further assistance, please let us know.

Morning @Char1991

Here is my project where I put up stud wall in my garage. I used Anka screws to secure them and they worked perfectly. Just remember the hole needs to be deeper then the screw length that is going into the concrete and the dust removed. (I found that out the hard way lol)
