I live in Kalkallo, VIC. I need this timber cut into custom length. https://www.bunnings.com.au/specrite-2400-x-900mm-33mm-timber-panel-teak-fj-laminated_p0229069
Visited Craigieburn store. They said they don't do it. Could you please let me know which is the closest store to get this cut into custom size?
Hello @mkupadhyaya
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's wonderful to have you join us.
I'm sorry but the shop saws are not able to cut the SpecRite 2400 x 900mm 33mm Timber Panel Teak FJ Laminated. Unfortunately, the shop saws are not built to make precision cuts. I suggest having a quick look at this guide - How to choose the right power saw for the job by @Adam_W. Using a power saw with a fine blade will enable you to cut the benchtop precisely.

Can I purchased Timber off cuts from Bunnings?
Good Afternoon @JP21
Yes you can, sometimes is the easiest answer. I do go for a wander down where they cut the timber and sometimes they have offcuts for sale. Right time right place type deal is all.
Id also like to say welcome to the Bunnings Community Its an interesting place to wander through, so many ideas I still find new ones even months after wanding in

Hi @JP21,
As @Dave-1 has mentioned, most of our stores will have offcuts of timber boards available. However, their availability depends on how busy the cut shop has been in the previous days. After the weekend is a great time to check or have a word with a friendly team member, and they might be able to stash some aside for you.
Please let us know if you have any questions.

I some timber but it needs to be cut at angle. Can Bunning do that for me if I supply the angle ?
Hello @xiaodai
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us.
I'm sorry but the shop saws are not able to do an angled cut. They are only able to do straight cuts. However, it is possible to cut the timber using a handsaw or a circular saw. I suggest having a quick look at this guide - How to choose the right power saw for the job by @Adam_W.
Can you please tell us what you are planning to build? We are more than happy to offer advice and information so that you can finish your project.

I want to make a crucifix out of mdf with neon tubing glued around the perimeter. There is a 1.5cm thick 10cm long battery box for the neon so I want to cut out two crucifixes from mdf at least 1.5cm thick and glue them together. a front one 40cm high, 20wide, and one 10cm shorter at the bottom for the battery pack to tuck in and the switch be accessible and the batteries be able to be changed. I’ll cover it in wood grain adhesive vinyl. Yes it’s meant to look kitch. Would anyone at Bunnings be able to cut these out? I have a jigsaw but I’m not confident.
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @Andie. It's wonderful to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about our cutting service.
Unfortunately, our saws are only able to make straight cuts across boards and panels, so detailed cutting, as you've mentioned, is not possible. A jigsaw would be the appropriate tool to use, and I'd suggest this would make an excellent project to build your confidence. My best advice would be to cut on the outside of your designs line and then sand back to the outline. That way, you don't risk encroaching on the area which you wish to keep.
Here's a helpful guide: What is a jigsaw?
Please let me know if you have any questions.

Would Bunnings Glenfield cut timber to size if I gave you the measurements?
There would be 10 different sizes, ranging from 400mm x 150mm (smallest) up to 1800mm x 150mm (largest)
The wood required would need to be treated as it's all for outdoor use.
Thanks,
Thommo
