Can you trim pin board?

sound like a stupid question but can you trim pinboard that is sold at bunnings the online fotos are dull to what it actually is made from and says nothing in the description as to whether its the size it comes or it has options??

The cheaper is MDF so easy to cut with normal tools. The higher priced is a fibre that would be harder to cut than MDF,
