A European-style mosaic table was created out of a weathered piece of furniture.
I created a table that takes me back to Europe. I was inspired by the architecture and the different patterns you can find on the walls in Portugal and Spain. These designs bring beauty to any space.
Once I saw the Modello wall tiles at Bunnings I knew I had to create something with it. I found this table that was going to end up in landfill and it was the perfect size for this project.
Mari shared these step-by-step instructions for creating this mosaic tile table.
Clean the table really well with any cleaning tool.
Spray paint the legs with Dulux Metalshield Epoxy Enamel Spray Paint Flat Black.
Sand the table with 120 grit sandpaper.
Place the tiles in position to check where you want to lay each tile before securing it.
Apply Dunlop Wall And Floor Tile Adhesive directly on the timber, working in sections to quickly and firmly place the tiles on top. Let the tiles dry for 24 hours.
Apply white grout. I used Dunlop 800g Ready-To-Go Coloured Grout - White.
Smooth the edges with an angle grinder.
Finish around the tiles with black paint.

What a fantastic revamp @lifestylebymari !
I recently rescued two timber coffee tables which are now crowded with plants. I hadn't given much thought to what facelift to give them, but your tilework is the perfect answer!
I'm unsure if I need yet another hobby, but between you and @lauraahearn I've become a fan of tiling upgrades! Thank you and congratulations! Even your choice of tiles is inspirational! 👍🏻👏 🤗
