These sliding timber screens provide privacy and security for a deck and carport area.
I built these timber screens outside our laundry and on one side of the carport in order to gain another 2.5m of parking space.
To get started I had to rip up some brickwork and pavers, knock out the old steps, brick up the wall and build some decking towards the side to make the decking flow onto the back deck.
For some strange reason the previous owners built the deck 150mm too low.
Demolition done and wall bricked up.
The new deck using reclaimed timber evened the level of the decking.
Time to build the screens.
The 66mm x 30mm LOSP treated Pine knocked out ready for timber insert to support rollers.
All painted up.
Starting assembly.
Ready to hang.
Screens in place.
Side of the carport.
