An updated outdoor kitchen provides a shaded entertaining area while a separate poolside barbecue area offers another dining option.
We installed a brand-new kitchen and instead of getting rid of the old cabinets we decided to create an outdoor kitchen.
We used timber-like floorboards from Bunnings to resurface the cabinets as the fronts weren't really appealing.
My husband and I purchased the pizza oven from Bunnings and poured a concrete benchtop for it to sit on, and it escalated from there.
Building the base for the oven.
Installation of the Amalfi wood-fired pizza oven kit, before adding insulation layers.
After layers of insulation. This project was very fulfilling to do. It came with really great video advice on YouTube.
We also had pavers, which we went over and tiled.
For the barbecue zone, when we first purchased the property, the pool area seemed separated from the rest of the yard. It had the best cool afternoon breezes in summer but had no cover. We set about creating an outdoor pavilion and it escalated from there.
We spend many more occasions around the pool now as the pavilion offers cover come rain or shine.
The barbecue was recently added as I just love having barbecue breakfast, lunch or dinner around the pool.
We have recently sold this home and purchased land where we are building a new home. Hopefully we can get our hands on another Amalfi.

Hi @jeffjen,
Damn, I am so green with envy, it's not even funny.
Just having an outdoor area, let alone a pizza oven would be so awesome!!
