This concrete slab for a dog kennel enclosure has drainage channels so water can run out to the sides and was painted for easy cleaning.
Meet Edward. He loves his new home. It measures 3 x 3m so there's plenty of room.
It took me about four days to complete. Two days excavating by hand. About a day prepping the slab ready for the pour. Then a day for mixing and pouring about three tons of concrete. The Ozito Cement Mixer is gold. I fully loaded it and pushed it to the limit and it performed 100%.
It's my first concrete slab so not everything went to plan. There is a slight dip in the middle and water builds up when it rains. I used an angle grinder to carve out a drainage channel so water can run out and made a sand drainage ditch down the sides. I also painted the concrete slab, which will make it easier to hose down and clean.
