How do you remove pot plant stains on a deck?

DeckWithPotPlantStains.jpegIf you have pot plant stains on a deck, our resident Bunnings D.I.Y. experts recommend using Feast Watson Woodclean. Our team has used it for various stain removals on timber, and it can work like magic. Hopefully it can either remove or minimise the stains sufficiently so that the marks will be disguised once you go onto reapplying decking oil or stain.

If you don't have any luck with the Woodclean because the damage is deep into the timber, sanding is going to be the best approach for this problem. Please note that the entire deck will need sanding to ensure a consistent result.

If the board is still stained even with considerable sanding, the final solution would be to replace the stained boards.

Please remember that after you've oiled your deck, investing in some terracotta feet to get the pots up off the deck should ensure the problem does not reoccur. - Jason
