I’ve just moved in to a small new house and went to hook up machine and found that the taps under tiny trough are inaccessible! How can I attach the hoses? I’ve already taken the tiny door off but this didn’t help. Should I remove the entire trough? Call a plumber?
Hello @Ausenglishtute
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us and thanks for sharing your question about your washing machine connection.
Please note that any plumbing work must be carried out by a licensed plumber for safety and compliance.
It appears that it is a very tight area and getting your hand in that space could possibly require you to remove the waste pipe. If you have basic plumbing skills and have experience in removing the waste pipe, you should be able to unscrew it and temporarily move it out of the way. You can then run the inlet pipe of your washing machine through the side and link it up to the cold tap.
However, if you've not done any plumbing whatsoever, I recommend engaging the services of either a plumber or a handyperson to connect your washing machine.
If you need further assistance, please let us know.
