Hello @anthonyv40c
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your solar hot water system.
Please note that any plumbing work must be carried out by a licensed plumber for safety and compliance.
In this particular situation, I suggest engaging the services of a plumber. It could possibly be the temperature relief valve, but only the plumber would be able to confirm the real cause of the failure of your hot water system.
If you need further assistance, please let us know.
Eric
Hi @anthonyv40c
In case of expensive repairs.
These days it is so much better to spend your money of solar electricity and panels and use all the excess electric daylight power to heat your hot water for free via a standard electric hot water service, Rather than complicated solar hot water solar systems.
Have a timer on electricity (some hot water systems have timers built in) So it only heats 10 am to 4 pm
Have the 300 plus litres to last the night through for family and free reheat next day. Rainy days costs grid power to heat
Hope you repairs inexpenxsive.
