What tool is best to remove only the plaster (but not the cement float) from an interior brick wall?
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @Former Workshop member. It's brilliant to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about removing plaster.
How well adhered is the plaster to the cement? If it is well adhered, there's no tool I know of that could remove it without taking the cement with it. If it's falling away, then a scraper would be the best tool for a small area or for a whole wall, you might choose to use a floor scraper. Perhaps an oscillating multi-tool could cut it away, but I can't imagine it would do this at any significant speed.
If you can tell our knowledgeable members a little more about your project, including the condition of the wall and why you are removing the plaster they'll be better informed and able to other useful suggestions.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
