My bathroom door has a turning knob to lock the handles. They were loose and today they fell apart, I then realised the screws were missing.
What kind of screws should I get to fasten these? Door is 35mm thick.
Thanks!
Hello @Cliftonbarber
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your locking door knob.
I suggest bringing your doorknob to the store and speaking to the hardware specialist. I propose testing some screws starting with the Zenith 8G x 30mm Chrome Plated Countersunk Head Hinge Timber Screws. Once you've tested this first screw, you'll be able to tell if you need it bigger or smaller.
I recommend trying to get the biggest screw that will fit the hole so that it anchors properly to your door. Another thing you can do to further secure the knobs is to put a bead of Selleys 90ml Clear Wet Area Silicone Sealant on the edge of the flange to secure it to the door.
