Unusual toilet seat fixing

I have a granny flat built about 9 years ago that seems to have a very unusual toilet seat fixing system that I cant find a IMG_1642.jpegreplacement for. The builder hasn't been able to help with this. Does anyone one know what this type of fixing is called and who would sell it? thanks a lot

Re: Unusual toilet seat fixing

Hello @Julie0510

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your toilet seat.

If I recall correctly this is an old Caroma/Fowler style toilet seat with a single bar fixing that allows you to slide the seat into place. I've not seen one in quite a while, I suggest removing your old toilet seat along with the grey bar attached to the toilet pan. Measure the distance of the holes in the pan and bring the toilet seat with you to the store. Once you reach the store you can match the old toilet seat with the new one and you can double check the fittings to make sure the new seat can attach to the old toilet pan.

I also suggest checking out the stores Toilet Seat Installation Service

If you need further assistance, please let us know.

Eric
